Buenos Aires, December 27 (NA) – A man died this Saturday after the small plane he was piloting crashed on Copacabana Beach, the most famous in Rio de Janeiro, which is packed with tourists this time of year. The small aircraft plunged into the sea around noon near post 3 of Copacabana, according to Noticias Argentinas agency, via Xinhua. The pilot, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was later found in the water, no longer alive. Shortly before, rescue teams conducted search operations for about two hours, with the support of jet skis, inflatable boats, and a specialized diver. The causes of the accident have not yet been determined and will be investigated by the competent authorities.
