On Friday morning, a small plane crashed over an avenue in the Brazilian city of São Paulo, causing the death of two people, confirmed the local Fire Department. The incident also left six with minor injuries, five of whom were waiting at a bus stop, while the sixth injured person was a motorcyclist riding in the area at the time.

According to Captain Ronaldo Melo, among the deceased were the aircraft's pilot and another person traveling with him. The aircraft, a twin-engine King Air capable of carrying eight people, took off from the small aircraft airport shortly after 7:00 am bound for the city of Porto Alegre but crashed a few minutes later over a public bus, causing a fire.

The accident led to the closure of Avenida Marquês de São Vicente, an important roadway located in the western area of São Paulo and close to the airport. The city's mayor, Ricardo Nunes, expressed his condolences for the incident and announced on social media that all the resources of the City Hall had been made available to assist the victims.
