Argentine driver Franco Colapinto (Alpine) is having a weekend to forget at the Brazilian Grand Prix, following the collision in the sprint race and the poor qualifying performance he had on Saturday. Colapinto, who was confirmed as Alpine's main driver for 2026 on Friday, will start 18th in Sunday's race after being eliminated in Q1. Pole position will be taken by the British driver and championship leader, Lando Norris (McLaren), who won the sprint race on Saturday morning and is strengthening his position as a title contender.
