Colapinto Displeased with Brazil Result, Hopes for Improvement

Argentine driver Franco Colapinto finished sixteenth in the sprint classification of the Brazilian Grand Prix, where he expressed dissatisfaction with his performance but hopes to improve for the rest of the weekend.

"Qualifying was complicated, Fridays have been tough for me lately. Although it was good in Mexico, it cost me a bit more here. I'm a bit hot. In general, there is better performance than in other races, but well, we'll work a little tonight and come back better tomorrow," declared the Pilar native in an interview with ESPN.

Colapinto was confirmed as Alpine's second driver this Friday before the free practice, where he also finished sixteenth.

"There are small things that need to be improved in a few places, which in the end become bigger and you lose more time. But, well, I'm not too worried, because, luckily, the Sprint is like a practice."

The sprint will take place this Saturday at 11 AM (Argentine time), while the qualifying session will be held at 3 PM. In this way, the Argentine will continue with the French team until at least 2016.

When questioned about his continuity in Formula 1, the Pilar driver responded: "Yes, obviously it was nice news this morning and I'm happy with the team."

Regarding his performance in the sprint classification, Colapinto was self-critical: "The lap was good, but I lost a lot in the first sector."

The Grand Prix of Brazil race will be on Sunday at 2 PM.
