Brazilian star Neymar, returning from injury, scored two goals for his team Santos and led them to a 2-1 victory over Vasco da Gama in a match that saw him get into a scuffle once again with defensive midfielder Thiago Mendes. Neymar, who underwent knee surgery at the end of last December, had missed his team's first three matches in the league that kicked off in January this year. Neymar, who celebrated his 34th birthday on the fifth of this month, gave Santos the lead in the 25th minute before getting into a fight with Mendes, the former Lyon player who caused his injury in December 2020 at the 'Parc des Princes' while he was playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
