A 32-year-old Argentine, Federico Bruni, is being intensely sought after disappearing in a jungle in Brazil five days ago. On January 27, Bruni entered the Sao Bonifacio jungle and informed his family that he planned to spend a few days camping in the area.
Following the alert given by local police, Bruni's truck and his dog were discovered near a river, which raised alarms for the authorities. Although it was common for the tourist to stay several days in natural places without much communication due to lack of signal, the finding of his vehicle and pet triggered the mobilization of his family.
It is believed, although there is no official confirmation, that Bruni may have fallen into the river and that the current swept him away, leading him into the jungle. This is the main hypothesis regarding his disappearance. In light of this situation, several of Bruni's relatives traveled to Santa Catarina to join the search efforts.
With a passion for travel, soccer, and writing, Bruni used to share various photos of his experiences on social media. Now, both authorities and his loved ones are focused on finding this Argentine, originally from Munro, who has been in Brazil since late December.
