Argentinian President Javier Milei will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the G20 summit to be held in Brazil. This decision dispels doubts that arose about the meeting between the two leaders, especially after Donald Trump's victory in the United States, with whom Milei has a close relationship.
Xi Jinping joins the list of prominent heads of state who will meet with Milei in the coming days, including Emmanuel Macron, President of France, and Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, among others. The meeting with the French president is scheduled for Sunday, November 17, and will be their second meeting after the gathering at the Élysée Palace last July.
After attending the G20 in Brazil early in the week, Milei will meet with Meloni, with whom he has held three meetings so far, the first in Rome in February and subsequently at an invitation from Meloni to participate in the G7 meeting.
The presidential spokesperson for the Argentine government, Manuel Adorni, announced the confirmation of the bilateral meeting between Milei and Xi Jinping. This upcoming meeting will be a continuation of their last meeting in New York during the United Nations General Assembly in September.
