According to Brazilian media, a ranking of the 100 highest-paid athletes in the world has been published, in which seven athletes represent Latin America. The newspaper "Lance" noted that Latin American athletes stand out for their unique mastery and great productivity, and they also earn significant financial rewards in their sports field.
Among those named in the list of athletes from Latin America are: Lionel Messi: 135 million dollars (football), Neymar Jr.: 133 million dollars (football), Canelo Alvarez: 73 million dollars (boxing), Vinicius Junior: 55 million dollars (football), Joaquin Niemann: 45.9 million dollars (golf), Karl-Anthony Towns: 45.1 million dollars (basketball), Jose Altuve: 43.6 million dollars (baseball).
It is worth noting that Colombian forward Juan Gadder Duran could have entered this prestigious list for his salary in "Al-Nassr" (21.1 million dollars), however, the estimate is based on data from 2024, when he was still at "Aston Villa" in England.
