The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has confirmed that there will be no change of venue for the Copa Libertadores final between Flamengo and Palmeiras. The match will take place on November 29th at the Monumental stadium in Lima, Peru. Despite the efforts of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), CONMEBOL has ruled out moving the match to Brazilian territory. CBF President Samir Xaud had suggested bringing the final to Brazil after both São Paulo teams qualified. However, CONMEBOL stated that logistical and contractual planning is already finalized, and there are no security reasons to justify a change of venue. This decision also follows CONMEBOL's policy of maintaining a neutral and previously announced venue to avoid logistical conflicts and ensure predictability in international tournaments. The CBF will be open to dialogue if a decision is made in Brazil. The cities of Brasilia and Belém have expressed interest on their own initiative, without prior conversation with the Confederation.
